The second iteration Village Music Study Group will look at American music in the 20th century comprising classical, blues, and jazz with special attention to the influences of each genre on the others. This project will be much less technical than our earlier examination of Western classical music. Playlists will be shorter to allow time for talking about reactions to the music and observing how each genre evolved decade by decade.
