Support Pasadena Village

Donations

Pasadena Village is a member-driven nonprofit organization which depends on donations to allow older adults to rely on each other and engage in activities that they love. We need your help to expand the programming and support to even more older adults. Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution today.

Donations can also be mailed to Pasadena Village, 236 W Mountain St, #104, Pasadena, CA 91103.

Thank you for contributing to our mission to foster vital independent living in a spirit of mutual support, enrichment and inclusiveness.

Pasadena Village is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization (Tax ID #45-3773041). Contributions are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.

Funding Our Mission

Membership fees are a crucial part of Pasadena Village's support but fund only about 20% of our mission and programs. Additional funding is generated from individual donations, foundations, and corporate support.

Addional Ways To Give

IRA Minimum Distributions

If you are 72 or older, you can choose to make a qualified charitable distribution from your IRA and benefit Pasadena Village. By choosing this avenue, the gift would go directly from your IRA to Pasadena Village, and the amount of the gift may be excluded from your taxable income. Since they are required to take a distribution, several donors like to support Pasadena Village in this way as it is straightforward, direct, and has tax advantages. Each financial institution has its own process for initiating a qualified charitable distribution. Please contact your IRA custodian or tax advisor for information on your particular situation, and to see if this would be an option that works for you.

Stock, Bonds, or Mutual Funds

Making a donation of appreciated stocks, bonds, or mutual funds can be an advantageous way to give while avoiding capital gains taxes. Provide your broker Pasadena Village’s tax ID #45-3773041 so they can make the transfer directly to Pasadena Village.

Donor Advised Funds

Donor-advised funds (DAF) are charitable investment accounts administered by a third-party, such as a community foundation or wealth management firm, that you can establish and then make distributions to nonprofit organizations that you want to support. This gives you the flexibility to receive tax benefits at the time you deposit assets, and request distributions when you want to support public charities like Pasadena Village. We encourage you to give through your DAF so the funds can start to make a difference in the lives of older adults.

Legacy Gifts

A bequest in your will or trust can make a lasting impact on Pasadena Village and minimize the impact on your estate. You can add a provision to your will or trust where you designate an amount or percentage of your estate for Pasadena Village’s future. You can also name Pasadena Village as a beneficiary on your life insurance policy or retirement account (such as an IRA).
