Please join us for a Metro Rail trip to the Hammer Museum in Westwood to view the Made in L.A. exhibit.
“Made in L.A. 2023: Acts of Living is the sixth iteration of the Hammer’s biennial exhibition highlighting the practices of artists working throughout the greater Los Angeles area. These practices embrace the value of craft, materiality, performance, and collectivity. The biennial situates art as an expanded field of culture that is entangled with everyday life; community networks; queer affect; and indigenous and diasporic histories.” https://hammer.ucla.edu/exhibitions/2023/made-la-2023-acts-living
We’ll meet at the Del Mar Metro Rail station at 9:15AM and catch the A Line to Downtown Los Angeles; transfer to the E Line at the Bunker Hill station; hop off at the Rancho Park Station and finish the last two miles of the trip on the Big Blue Bus. It will take about an hour and 40 minutes to get to the Hammer. Your Metro Tap Card works for each leg of the journey, including the bus. Admission to the museum is free.
After viewing the exhibit, we’ll have lunch at one of the fast-casual restaurants close-by and return to Pasadena.
If you have any questions please contact the event organizer, Jane Hufnagel.
