There’s an old Danish custom of gathering together with friends and family on a cold winter’s night to clip and weave paper ornaments to hang on the Christmas tree.  Carols and hymns are sung and good foods shared.  This event is called “Klippeaften.”

Karen Bagnard will share this tradition at her home on Thursday evening, December 7.  She will spare you her singing but will teach you how to weave a Danish heart basket, a symbol of love, generosity and abundance.  If you only want to watch, she will weave one for you.

Bring a dish to share for a potluck dinner.
