The May Dial A Ride Field Trip will be Wednesday, May 1st to the Pasadena Museum of History. The current exhibits are the kick off to a year long celebration of the Museum's Centennial. The exhibit in the North Gallery is "Celebrate!" and is an exhibit of Art Quilts curated by the Quilts on a Wall Guild. The South Gallery features "Curiosities" from the Museum's collection. This self guided tour includes paintings, clothing from the textile collection, including, the 1940 gown worn by the Rose Queen and technology...1911 technology!
This is a members only event and registration is required. Participants will meet at the Village, at 9:45 AM, take Dial A Ride to the museum for a 10:00 visit and the bus will be ready to return us at 11:30 AM.” Dial-a-Ride is not always punctual but they are doing a great job with our “Party Bus.” The pick-up window is 11:30 to 11:50.
The bus will pick us up at the Village parking lot and, for just 75 cents each way, take us door to door to various interesting locations and events in the Pasadena, Altadena and San Marino areas.
This is a great opportunity for all of us to learn to use this convenient and economic transportation option for all those 55 and older. Avoid traffic, parking hassles and enjoy door-to-door service.
If you have any questions please contact the event organizer, Karen Bagnard.
