About the new Fraud Prevention Program
The Elder Fraud Prevention Program will build on some of the activities we already engage in - technology support, educational presentations, and outreach tables at community events. It is designed to raise awareness of elder scams and fraud and prevent further instances. Via education and outreach this multifaceted, bilingual (English/Spanish) initiative would equip individuals with the means to detect, prevent and report elder abuse. The impact of the Eaton Fire has increased the need to combat fraud and scams.
