History and Future Development of Arroyo Seco

In our next upcoming session on the third Friday in July, July 21st, at noon Pacific,  Brian Biery will provide us with another of his excellent summaries of the history of Pasadena and surrounding areas. 

Arroyo Seco is a prominent geographic feature in this area. Development always involves money. Money always means politics and politics always means controversy.  These elements always make for interesting discussions.

Brian will be joined in this presentation by Marcus Renner who is an adjunct professor at UC Davis and is the chair of the Arroyo Seco Placekeepers project.  They will be discussing the history and current plans for the future development of this feature and how it might bring a greater sense of equity to this area.

We have a number of other interesting topics being considered for future presentations which we will bring up as plans progress further.
