Join Pasadena Village for an evening walk through the Pasadena/San Marino neighborhoods below South Lake and CalTech on a 2.3-mile walk.

We’ll walk south on Lake to Kewen Drive and head down into the little valley (informally known as Kewen Canyon) that runs between Pasadena and San Marino. From there, we’ll walk up to Circle Dr and follow it around, looping north on Oak Grove Ave. There’s a bit of uphill as we head out of the canyon to Circle Dr, and on Oak Grove as we head back to Lake.

This is a fun walk, the canyon feels unexpectedly rural and there are lots of stately homes and mansions to admire on Circle and Oak Grove. A portion of the Pasadena/San Marino border runs down the middle of Kewen and Encino streets. Homes on the east side of the street are in San Marino and homes on the west side of the street are in Pasadena.

We’ll meet at the intersection of South Lake Avenue and Oakwood Place, in front of artist Lisa Mann's shopping cart art installation “George Wilson: HOME (MORE-OR-LESS)” located at Sidney F. Tyler Park in the median between South Lake and Lakewood Place and a block south of Peet’s Coffee. Walkers will depart promptly at 4:15 PM.

Parking
There is plenty of street parking on Lake, on the west side of Lakewood Place (which parallels Lake) and on South Hudson Ave. The two-hour parking restriction ends at 6:00PM. Oakwood Place has a one-hour parking restriction that also ends at 6:00PM.
