Pasadena Village

Program Intern

Job Description

Temporary, part-time, Non-exempt

Pasadena Village is an equal opportunity employer and encourages People of Color, people with disabilities, older adults, and LGBTQ+ individuals to apply.

ABOUT PASADENA VILLAGE

Pasadena Village is a nonprofit organization of adults over 55 whose mission is to foster vital independent living in a spirit of mutual support, enrichment, and inclusiveness. Pasadena Village has over 250 active older adult members who live in the west San Gabriel Valley and adjacent areas. They stay connected via active walking and hiking outings, support groups and discussion groups, and they support each other and contribute to the local community as they age in place. They plan educational programs and cultural activities to engage in lifelong learning, and to connect with each other and the wider community. Learn more about Pasadena Village, and view our Mission, Vision, Values, and Strategic Plan at https://www.pasadenavillage.org/pages/10036-strategic-plan-2022-2027

Our organization is growing and supporting more older adults, and we invite you to join our team as an intern and work with our 6 staff and over 120 volunteers.

Eaton Fire Relief & Recovery

Over 90 of the older adults in our network evacuated or sought shelter elsewhere since the Eaton Fire began on January 7. Twenty-three lost their homes and almost all of their possessions. About 20 additional older adults in our community are still displaced. Due to generous funders, we are expanding our outreach to support more older adults impacted by the fires. Approximately 30% of our current staff and volunteer efforts are still focused on relief and recovery.
