Program Intern
Job Description
Temporary, part-time, Non-exempt

ABOUT PASADENA VILLAGE
Pasadena Village is a nonprofit organization of adults over 55 whose mission is to foster vital independent living in a spirit of mutual support, enrichment, and inclusiveness. Pasadena Village has over 250 active older adult members who live in the west San Gabriel Valley and adjacent areas. They stay connected via active walking and hiking outings, support groups and discussion groups, and they support each other and contribute to the local community as they age in place. They plan educational programs and cultural activities to engage in lifelong learning, and to connect with each other and the wider community. Learn more about Pasadena Village, and view our Mission, Vision, Values, and Strategic Plan at https://www.pasadenavillage.org/pages/10036-strategic-plan-2022-2027
Our organization is growing and supporting more older adults, and we invite you to join our team as an intern and work with our 6 staff and over 120 volunteers.
Eaton Fire Relief & Recovery
Pasadena Village is heavily involved in long-term disaster recovery and community resilience following the Eaton Fire. The fire significantly impacted our Pasadena Village network, and we are currently supporting over 400 older adults whose homes are lost or damaged. Due to this ongoing situation, 25% of current staff and volunteer efforts are dedicated to relief and recovery. This work is expanding thanks to generous funders, offering a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in disaster recovery, resource coordination, and providing direct support to vulnerable older adults during a critical recovery phase.
