The Work of Jim Hendrick: A Pasadena Village Exhibition
Artist
Retired Therapist From Kentucky, Sarasota, Houston, Ft. Worth, Chicago
The Cultural Activities Committee has invited Village member Jim Hendrick to share his work at the Village Office.
Jim shares:
I am a doodler. We always had a notepad by the phone. Along with the occasional message, I spent hours and countless sheets of paper drawing whatever came into my head. At work, in meetings or anytime I was bored, I reached for a pen and paper. Sometimes, I drew on cocktail napkins or advertising flyers. With retirement came the gift of free time. Free time gave me the headspace to allow for creative thoughts which led me to want to create something. After I gave myself permission to use art as a way to explore myself I discovered new parts of me. Every time I do anything creative I learn something new about myself and the world. I hope you enjoy my work.
The exhibit will have 16 paintings on canvas, 25 paintings on paper and a sketch book. All of the artwork will be on sale with 40% going to Pasadena Village.
