Impact of the George Floyd Trial

Expecting that the focus of the discussion of “Race in America” this week will be heavily centered on the George Floyd trial, I suggest that we make this topic the subject of our next meeting this Friday at 10am. There are many relevant articles that anyone can bring to our attention and discuss and there may be breaking news at the last minute that we will want to talk about. The outcome of this trial, whatever it is, feels very much like some kind of inflection point in our history. I await the outcome with great anticipation and substantial trepidation.
